LEGO Dimensions will drain your wallet but fill your heart
LEGO Dimensions is about to take the LEGO video game franchise to a whole new, um, Dimension (sorry that was lazy).
For those unaware, which should be very few of you since LEGO has be marketing the heck out of the September 27th launch date, LEGO Dimensions uses physical toys (LEGOs) combined with NFC chips to allow players to select new playable minifigs#, vehicles, and special items to help players progress through the game.
At E3 2015, YouTube Live provided the best look at what to expect from LEGO Dimensions, with a live demonstration from Mark Warburton, Associate Producer of TT Games.
If you read my article about my quest to collect every trophy in Every LEGO video game on the PS3 and PS4, then it should come as no surprise that I’m already figuring out how to come up with the $709.48 it’s going to cost me to acquire everything that has been announced for LEGO Dimensions. Between LEGO Dimensions and my amiibo collecting, this is shaping up to be one of the most expensive years of gaming I’ve ever had.
But can you really put a price on celebrating incredible franchises like, Back to the Future, Portal, The Simpsons, Ghostbusters, and more, all in the same game?
For your viewing pleasure, I’ve listed everything that is being released for Lego Dimensions, which can also be conveniently found on a dedicated Amazon LEGO Dimensions store.
